Visible Morels for Texture and Presentation
Choose this format when identifiable mushrooms matter in the finished dish
Dried Morels are the appropriate format for dishes in which the mushrooms should remain identifiable after preparation. Once correctly rehydrated and thoroughly cooked, their irregular honeycomb form and tender texture provide a visible mushroom presence in sauces, risottos, egg dishes and meat dishes.
Choose this format when presentation and mushroom texture are important. Morel Powder is a separate product format intended for more even distribution through a dish without visible mushroom pieces.
Always follow the rehydration and cooking instructions provided in Product Details and on the product label.
Dried Morels – Frequently Asked Questions
Product form, storage, safe preparation and culinary useTerra Ross Dried Morels are wild-harvested mushrooms identified as Morchella esculenta. They are selected, washed and dried using specialised equipment. The product retains the naturally irregular shape and distinctive honeycomb-like surface of visible morel mushrooms.
This product contains visible dried morels rather than finely milled morel powder. The composition is 100% dried Morchella esculenta, with no additives or flavourings.
Available pack sizes are 40 g, 75 g, 160 g, 230 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Natural differences in mushroom size, shape and colour are expected.
Keep the container tightly closed in a cool, dry and dark place, protected from heat and moisture. After opening, reseal it immediately. Follow the best-before date and any additional storage instructions shown on the product label.
Soak the dried morels in warm water for 20–30 minutes. Drain and discard the soaking water. Boil the mushrooms in fresh water, drain them and repeat the boiling step with fresh water.
Discard the water after each boil and cook the morels thoroughly as part of the final dish. Do not consume morels raw or undercooked, and do not use the soaking or boiling water in recipes.
The appropriate quantity depends on the recipe, number of servings and desired mushroom intensity. Follow the amount specified in the recipe or begin with a modest quantity for your first preparation.
Choose visible dried morels when the finished dish should contain identifiable mushroom pieces and texture. After safe preparation, they are suitable for cream- or butter-based sauces, risottos, soups, egg dishes and meat dishes. Morel powder is a separate format intended for more even distribution through a dish.
